I began my journey with The Action Group in 2006 as a support worker in East Edinburgh. Since then, I’ve held a variety of roles, including helping to establish our East Lothian support service, developing and managing our casual workforce, and working within the Quality Team to shape policies and lead investigations into concerns and complaints.
In recent years, my focus has shifted to leading and developing our infrastructure teams — including Business Support, IT, Human Resources, Recruitment, Facilities, and Data Protection. My background in frontline and managerial support roles continues to shape the culture and values of these teams. I believe that every role and department plays a vital part in delivering high-quality social care, where people feel valued, respected, and empowered to make decisions about their lives.
Qualifications: SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, PDA in Supervision, PRINCE2 Project Management, MA (Hons) Economics
