Paisley Deighton
Development Manager

I’ve worked in the care sector since I was 15 years old, starting out as a volunteer playworker—and I’m still involved in children’s services today. From that very first experience, I knew that working in care was what I wanted to do.
Over the years, I’ve gained experience across a wide range of areas including education, adult services, day centres, youth work, respite care, and community-based roles, as well as holding a variety of leadership positions. One of the highlights of my career has been learning British Sign Language (BSL) in one of my roles. It’s a skill I still love using—and I can often be found signing along to my favourite songs!
Working in care has always been more than just a job for me—it’s something I’m deeply passionate about, and I feel privileged to make a difference in people’s lives every day.
