About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to support a young man with moving into a new flat and we are looking for enthusiastic, fun individuals who are motivated to help BR adapt to life in his own flat. BR has Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy and he communicates in his own style by using his eyes and arm movements, so we are looking for people who are patient and can be attentive to his style of communication. BR needs assistance with tasks such as administration of medication, personal care along with daily tasks such as, cooking, shopping, and social support. BR loves to visit the hydrotherapy pool at least once a week, as well as going out for walks and attending ceilidhs and discos.

Salary

  • £22,165 – £22,999 per annum, pro rata and based on 39-hour work week

  • Casual hourly rate: £10.90 per hour

  • Sleepover payment of £87.20. Sleepovers are not counted as part of your contracted hours, and are paid in addition to your regular salary

Requirements

  • BR will be participating in new activities and making new connections, so he is looking for active, approachable, positive people to help him achieve these goals.

  • BR uses a wheelchair and he has access to a mobility car, so being a driver would be desirable.

  • We are recruiting for both day support staff and for waking night cover which will be working to set shift patterns.
