Contract
About the Role
The Action Group provides support to a woman called Joanne, who lives in Ormiston East Lothian. Joanne has her own beautiful home, and lives independently with 24 hour support from her trusted team of support workers.
The post holder will be required to support Joanne alongside one of Joanne's support workers, acting as second person, to provide personal care in the evenings, supporting Joanne to her bed. This will be from 8.30-9.30pm 5 days per week. Mornings are also required, and times can vary, 1 hour between 7-10am, hours are negotiable, flexibility to build your own week around these times. Full training will be provided.
Salary
£22,165 – £22,999 per annum, pro rata and based on 39-hour work week.
Casual hourly rate: £10.90 per hour. Sleepover payment of £87.20. Sleepovers are not counted as part of your contracted hours, and are paid in addition to your regular salary
Requirements
Joanne is a wheelchair user and requires full support with personal care including intimate personal care, therefore this post will be for females* only. Joanne uses a track and hoist.
Candidates must be great communicators and problem solvers, and be fully committed to The Action Group’s values of equality, inclusion and opportunity for all.
Many of our support workers go on to complete formal qualifications in social care as they develop their professional skills, or do support work while they study.
