About the Role
Our Playscheme enables children and young people aged between 5-18 years old with support needs and learning disabilities to have a stimulating inclusive play with an emphasis on young people having fun and developing their confidence. Our service provides families & carers with a short break in the school holidays and gives children the opportunity to interact and engage with others in an active, creative and sensory environment. - Paid training is provided.
Salary
Casual hourly rate: £12 per hour
Scheme Dates 2024:Â
Summer: 1st July – 9th August 2024
October: 14th October - 18th October 2024
Scheme Dates 2025:
February: 17th February - 21st February 2025
Easter: 7th April – 18th April 2025Â

Do you want to make a real difference to children and young adults in your community?
Our Playscheme team in Edinburgh is looking for enthusiastic individuals to provide ongoing seasonal support to children and young people aged between 5-18 years old with support needs and learning disabilities. We are looking for support workers who share The Action Group’s values and who are great communicators. The ideal candidate would be patient and practical, and also have a sense of fun. You need to be energetic, creative and have great attention to detail.
