Children Support Services

We are looking for a person to join our team who has a genuine interest in working with children and families providing support in a variety of settings including family homes, schools and community locations and providing support either individually or with groups of children, young people and parents/carers. The service support includes working with children who have a disability and their families.

Salary

No experience required as paid training is provided.

£10.90 Per Hour

About The Role

  • Our aim is to support children and families using a person-centred/outcome approach, focusing on strengths, building on assets and interests to support them in achieving the best possible outcomes and to feel included and supported within their communities.

  • The service is designed and tailored to the families and the child so we can work toward their desired outcome.

  • Applicants should be committed, enthusiastic, and motivated have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a collaborative manner, evidencing a respectful and inclusive approach. You will be creative, innovative, adaptable and dynamic and able to deliver a person-centred and robust service to children and their families.

  • Applicants should be able to evidence that they wish to develop personally and professionally in the role of working with children. Applicants who have experience working with children with a disability are preferable but not essential.

  • A flexible approach is essential to providing support when families need it which will include early morning, evenings and weekends.

  • The role includes effective time management balancing direct support to children and families' needs with the administrative requirements of the post.
