Contract
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available to support three young autistic men who live together in the Musselburgh area.
Salary
£22,165 – £22,999 per annum, pro rata and based on 39-hour work week
Casual hourly rate: £10.90 per hour
Requirements
You will be supporting each individual with their (very busy) daily schedule of work, educational and social activities. For example, attending college, going swimming, playing sports and going to the cinema, as well as domestic and personal care tasks.
You will work as part of a dynamic, hardworking and fun team of people who are committed to supporting people to lead fulfilling lives. Ideally you will have previous experience of working with autistic people, including a good understanding of communication, but paid training is provided.
These are individuals who have their own cars that staff can drive, so it would be great if you had a driver’s license – however this is not essential as public transport is also used. The property in Musselburgh is on a direct bus route and would be accessible for those living in both the Edinburgh and East Lothian areas.
The right candidate will share The Action Group’s values of inclusion and equality and will have a person-centred approach to providing support.
