Contract
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has come up to support a young man living in his own home, with a house mate, in the Musselburgh area. We are looking for candidates who are available to work between the hours 7am and 6pm or 6pm and 10pm Monday to Sunday. Full time and part time opportunities are available.
Salary
£22,165 – £22,999 per annum, pro rata and based on 39-hour work week
Casual hourly rate: £10.90 per hour
Requirements
You will support one person with their (very busy) schedule of work, educational and social activities such as attending day opportunities, swimming, sports and other leisure activities, as well as personal care and domestic tasks.
You will work as part of a dynamic, hardworking and fun team of people who are committed to supporting people to lead fulfilling lives. Ideally you will have previous experiencesupporting people, including a good understanding of communication. You will have opportunities to participate in paid training to develop your skills and practise as a support worker.
The ideal candidate will be fun and full of energy so that they can support the person with the things they love to do such as walking, swimming, football and other sporting interests. They will be excellent communicators and passionate about ensuring people can communicate their needs and wishes. The right candidate will also share The Action Group's values of inclusion and equality and have a person centred approach to providing support.
