About the Action Group

The Action Group - for children and adults with support needs and learning disabilities - and their carers

Vision

That families caring for a person with a learning disability and individuals who have a learning disability and other support needs:

encounter no barriers to their chosen lifestyle,
can follow a path of choice, and
can enrich their opportunities.

Mission

To value, listen to and involve people and their carers so that our every action is judged to be the best.

To meet our aims, The Action Group will be:

Pursuing innovation and development

Support in the community for people with support needs Every week, hundreds of people with support needs rely on us for essential help to live in the community.

For another 300 or so people employed by The Group it is the source of their main earnings.

And in the course of a year, up to 100 people will give their time and commitment on a voluntary basis, adding exceptional value to what we do.
