Who We Are

Support in the community for people with support needs Every week, hundreds of people with support needs rely on us for essential help to live in the community.

For another 400 or so people employed by The Group it is the source of their main earnings.

And in the course of a year, up to 100 people will give their time and commitment on a voluntary basis, adding exceptional value to what we do.

The Action Group is run by a voluntary Board of Directors. The Board is composed of parents, carers, and service users who all make decisions about the running of the Group. The 2012 Board Members are:

The Action Group also has roughly 450 paid staff – support workers, managers, and office-based staff – who work out of our central office in Leith.  These numbers swell to around 500 during the holidays with our temporary workers who help out with the Easter and Summer Leisure and Playschemes.
