The Playscheme takes place at Leith Academy.  We offer up to 30 places for children who have special needs, are aged between 5-12 years old, and live in Edinburgh.  The Playschemes run with a team of paid staff complemented by volunteers.  We provide a safe, stimulating, and fun environment for all the children.  We offer lots of opportunity for play, art, baking, swimming, games and a variety of exciting trips.  All the children are matched on a one to one basis, one staff member to one child, so that the child/children can maximise their enjoyment.

Easter Playscheme

The Easter Playscheme runs for two weeks of the Easter holidays.  Each week is dedicated to a particular age group:  5-8yrs or 9-12yrs.

Summer Playscheme

The summer playscheme takes place during the month of July and runs for four weeks.  The first two weeks are for children aged between 5 - 8 years, and the second two week block is for children aged from 9 -12 years.

Leisurescheme

The Leisurescheme runs for the last two weeks of the summer holidays.  We offer up to 25 places to young people who are aged 13 to 18 years and live in Edinburgh.  We are based in a central Edinburgh location.  A companion accompanies the young people on leisure activities of their choice.
